The Varsity Girls’ Basketball team are leaving for Provincials in Pine Falls this weekend. Go Cats Go!! Their first game is against the host team, Sagkeeng Anicinabe at 10.00 am. WCI in conjunction with HiPAC is selling water softener salt to raise money towards a new electronic scoreboard and mats for the entrance to the school. $8 per bag or $7.50 for an order of 50 or more. An order of 5 or more qualifies for free delivery, otherwise orders may be picked up from the school. Delivery Date March 17th.

Badminton practices have commenced after school and free play Friday mornings 7.45 – 8.50 am. Check the schedule posted outside room 126. Tournaments take place during April.
The WarrenVarsity girls basketball team has started the season with a tournament win in Steinbach. The girls first game was against the Steinbach JV team and we came out with a 64-16 win. Next, the girls played a strong team from Calvin Christian. The girls were down by several points with 7 minutes left in the game but overcame the deficit to win 43-36. Report cards are being sent home today with students. If you have outstanding school fees, a statement will be enclosed with the report. Please make arrangements for payment as soon as possible.
Subject fees are now overdue and prompt payment is appreciated. Typically, home ec, industrial arts, art, hockey academy and sports have fees attached. These are used to purchase supplies so students can participate in hands on learning. Sports fees go towards tournament fees, hotel stays, travel costs & ice rental. The Warren Collegiate canteen is up and running. The focus is on freshly made homemade food, and less processed foods. Dawn Yuzwa has worked on and off in our school division over the course of the last 18 years, as an EA and volunteer, and is a mother of two girls aged 27 and 13.
